Michelle Bravo, BA, HMT ?EOS™ Lymphatic Massage?& Aromatherapeutic Bodywork
Michelle Bravo, a holistic massage therapist (HMT), is respectful and supportive of each client’s individual pre and post-surgical processes. Surgery, be it elective or compulsory, can be challenging for the whole body. Surgery can also be an impetus for tremendous growth opportunities. Better self-awareness, healthier eating and exercise habits are just a few of the benefits that may arise for you.
Michelle views surgery as yet another opportunity for holistic transformation on every level of being. Clients often refer to Michelle as "the bridge" from surgery to recovery.
A graduate of California Pacific Medical Center's Institute for Health and Healing, Integrated Medicine Education program, Michelle had the opportunity to have successful hands-on experience providing comfort and care massage for a myriad of pre and post-operative patients.??Michelle received her holistic massage and tutoring training from the World School of Massage and Holistic Healing Arts in San Francisco, CA. Michelle is trained in the Dr. Emil Vodder technique of (MLD®) or Manual Lymph Drainage therapy. She is a graduate of the American College of Healthcare Sciences Accredited Certificate in Aromatherapy program and a member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
Since 2006, Michelle has provided pre and post operative EOS™ Lymphatic Massage, an effective technique she developed while working with plastic surgery clients.
To further illustrate the benefits of pre- and post-operative EOS™ Lymphatic Massage, please review the following information:
What is the Lymphatic System and what does it do?
?The Lymphatic System is responsible for absorbing and transporting metabolic waste products away from tissues in our bodies. Waste products can include dead cells, large molecules such as fatty acids, proteins, and also viruses and bacteria. After surgery, these toxic products can build-up in the tissues. Waste products can potentially increase and prolong inflammation, swelling and pain during post-operative healing. EOS™ Lymphatic Massage improves lymph flow, accelerates the removal of waste products to help speed your healing process.
How can EOS™ Lymphatic Massage help?
By stimulating the lymphatic system through the use of massage and essential oils, the body's natural healing capabilities are encouraged and supported. The detoxifying and regenerative benefits of EOS™ Lymphatic Massage works to soothe and calm your body so you heal better and faster.
- Drains excess fluid, toxins and waste products from the tissues
- Helps to stimulate the immune system
- Promotes relaxation
- Alleviates post-surgical edema
- Reduces pain and inflammation
- Can help prevent post-surgical infections
- Improves skin regeneration and dissipates bruising
- Aids in minimizing scar tissue formation
- Stimulates and detoxifies tissues
- Removes toxic build-up due to the effects of medication(s) and post-surgical lack of physical activity
How can I schedule a EOS™ Lymphatic Massage session or book a Series?
A series of EOS™ Lymphatic Massage sessions are suggested within 3-4 weeks after surgery as long as there are no contraindications present. Should you have questions regarding contraindications and massage before or after surgery, please do not hesitate to speak with Dr. Mosser prior to scheduling any EOS™ Lymphatic Massage sessions.
