In January of 2007 I had the opportunity to accompany the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California on a volunteer medical mission to Naga City in the Bicol region of the Philippines.It had been my first medical mission in over 3 years, and I had forgotten the profound need that still exists all around the world for reconstructive procedures in children.We had an incredibly capable team that consisted of Dr. Reza Momeni, Dr. Bhupesh Vasisht, Dr. Vernon Huang and our scrub assistant Tania Di Re.
