San Francisco Breast Augmentation
If you're considering breast enlargement surgery in San Francisco:
Post Breast Augmentation Recuperation
After your breast enlargement surgery, stitches are used to close the incisions. They may also be taped for greater support. You may also find a gauze bandage applied over your breasts to help with healing.
It’s common to feel sore and a bit tired the day after breast surgery, though the worst of the discomfort fades in 24 to 48 hours. Dr. Mosser’s goal is that your discomfort is readily managed throughout your recovery.
Within days after your breast augmentation surgery the gauze dressing, if any, will be removed, and you may be given a surgical bra for support. A burning sensation may persist in your nipples for a few weeks following surgery, though this will fade with the bruising. In between one week and ten days your stitches will come out, though swelling will linger in your breasts for three to five weeks.
You should be able to return to work within a few days of breast augmentation surgery so long as your job doesn’t require vigorous physical activity and movement. Your breasts will probably be sensitive for two to three weeks following surgery, though soreness should dissipate soon thereafter.
Results—the Amazing New You
You will immediately notice a dramatic change in your breast size and the balance of your body. You can resume regular activity. Implants should not interfere in nursing, sports, or other activities. Your scars will be firm and pink for six weeks or longer. Routine mammograms should be continued if you are in the appropriate age category, though the technician will use a special technique to insure an accurate reading and protection of your breast implants.
