Traditional procedures and techniques are still effective

Transferring the patient’s fat from another location
After preparing the donor site with a local anesthetic, the surgeon withdraws fat using a syringe with a large needle or cannula. After the fat is transferred, a certain percentage of it will re-vascularize and survive in the new location. This "autologous" fat transfer process is repeated until the desired contour has been achieved.
